About

Wordsmith, photographer, social anthropologist, alcophile. Addie is available for freelance anything.

Currently Editor-at-Large for Protein (a creative agency and bimonthly magazine), he was for many years the Managing Editor at Urban Junkies (one of London’s favourite consumer lifestyle sites) and before that everything from bartender and photographer’s assistant to brand copywriter and self-defence instructor.

He resides in London, working as a freelance drinks, lifestyle and events photographer, a consultant and speaker on contemporary drink culture and trends, and a journalist with a penchant for booze, bars and distant lands.

Addie is regularly commissioned to deliver the latest cultural and consumer trends to a broad, media-savvy audience through sharp, entertaining copy and bold, unique photography. He has photographed two lauded cocktail books – and is hard at work on his own. Not so hard at work, though, that you can’t hire him two write, shoot or speak about something magnificent for you.
